Our Senegal djembe drums are imported direct from Dakar, Senegal by Djembe Direct. They are very fine instruments, carved in the unique "wine glass" shape found only in Senegal, of seasoned, very dense Dimba wood. Up to 36 pairs of verticals means the drum is tuned very tight and will hold it's tuning well. In general our Senegal djembes have a wonderfully rich sound, semi-dry, very high, clean slaps, solid tones, and big bass response.
