• Solid Mansonia wood body, hand carved in and exported from Ghana, Africa
• Built by artisans using fresh, unbleached goat skin from Burkina Faso
• Extra wide bowl and throat, with flared base, for full, warm tones and deep, loud bass
• Exterior surface sealed for protection of wood, interior treated with natural oils for warmer, woody sound
• Hand-shaped bearing edge, sealed with wax for better tuning
• Ledge carved for bottom ring, improves stability and tuning
• Variety of carvings to choose from in 11", 13", and 14" head sizes
• Comes pre-tuned, ready to play out of the box, with tuning knots started

Standard adult size djembe is 12-13" head and 24" tall. More petit drummers could be comfortable playing the 11"x22" Student Djembe, while drummers six feet tall may prefer the oversize 14" head.
