Our youth-size djembes are ideally sized for children between 2-15 years of age, with four sizes to choose from. Each djembe is fully handcarved in Africa out of a solid piece of wood, headed with a real goat skin, and tuned up to proper playing tension. Our child djembes are real instruments, built identical to full-size drums, but on a smaller scale; they're not toys or souveniers. The sound each one produces is surprisingly full and loud (check out the sound clips by clicking the links below). These djembes are ideal for youth groups, schools, private home use, or for a more portable option for adult drummers.
