For vertical rope we use top quality 5mm rope manufactured just for hand drums, available in a variety of mixed colors. Rope quality has a big impact on the ability of the drum to keep tension and stay in tune. A lot of rope that comes on drums built in Africa uses black nylon rope that has some stretch to it. Our flat rate price includes installation of up to 75' of rope in your chosen color. When completing checkout please specify your color preferences for rope (state dominant color, even though the rope has flecks of other complementary colors).
