The bottom ring on a rope tension djembe has a tendency to become off center and uneven under tension unless it is set in place by a ledge carved into the wood. An uneven bottom ring can cause tension to be applied unevenly around the drum, and can cause the vertical ropes to look slanted instead of vertical. We'll carve a ledge just deep enough into the wood that will give that ring a home, keeping it in place as the ropes are pulled. In order to purchase this upgrade, you must also purchase a Basic Djembe Repair Service package. |
