While the Basic Repair Services include repairs to minor cracks in the wood drum body, if the shell has major cracks they'll require more intensive, upgraded work. Major cracks would be those that extend all the way through the wood that need to be brought back together rather than filled. We use a process of sanding, ratcheting, bracing, and gluing in order to close the split. In order to purchase this upgrade, you must also purchase a Basic Djembe or Dunun Repair Service package. Price is for up to 2 major cracks. If the shell has more than two, might we suggest getting a new one? |
