This kalimba (kuh-LIM-buh), also known as mbira in southern Africa or thumb piano, is the largest gourd kalimba available from Ghana. The oversized resonating chamber and extra long keys create a deep, very resonant, sustained tone when the keys are struck. With the keys being tunable by altering their length, you can create pentatonic, diatonic, or other preferred tuning system.
