- Wood seasoned and handcarved in Ivory Coast, West Africa, hydrated with lots of karite (shea butter) and coconut oil
- Ultra thick goat skin from Mali, wet shaved and hydrated with a bit of shea butter
- 5mm purple mix low-stretch drum rope for the 34 pairs of vertical ropes, first row of tuning started
- 4mm yellow drum rope for top rings and bottom loops, single hitch loop pattern on bottom ring
- Green cotton cloth used to wrap bottom and top rings, including flesh hoop to prevent rust damage to skin
- Extra tuning rope included, wrapped around neck for storage
