The new sound of Afro-urban percussion The group Bana Kin, comprising artists from the Democratic Republic of Congo, was formed in 1991 by Katondi Kama (known as Simolo), with the aim of contributing to the preservation of the traditional music of Central Africa, making it better known in the world, and also favouring cultural exchanges.
