| Drum Talk is made up of 33 drum 'dialogues'. Each dialogue features two interlocking rhythms, one high and one low, meant for 2 players or two sides of a drum circle. They were extracted from various African and Afro-Caribbean ensemble rhythms and were chosen for their melodic, 'conversational' quality. 33 rhythm dialogues for 2 players. (3 variation suggestions are given for each rhythm). Also: hand technique, drum tuning charts and background information on each rhythm pair, including 2 extra parts to help 'fill out' the sound. |
